A veteran not just of the stage but also of the recording studio, Uday has composed, produced and sung numerous advertising jingles. He has also sung a Bollywood song for a big-banner movie—“Life Is Crazy” by ace music directors Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy for the Karan Johar-produced  “Wake Up Sid!”, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma.

In addition to his music work, Uday has written for a number of publications, including The Village Voice, Time Out New York, Mid-Day, GQ India, Tehelka and The Asian Age.
